Journal Articles for a Fee
If you have a citation or list of citations and would like a copy of the full article you may wish to consider the document delivery services which make specific articles available for a fee. In addition, most public libraries provide an interlibrary loan service to request journals that they don't own.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan allows library patrons to borrow materials not available in their local library from other libraries in the United States.
Most public libraries provide an interlibrary loan service. Pepperdine University can only provide interlibrary loan service to current students, faculty and staff.
Professional Associations
Professional organizations are good sources of information. Most associations will give some free information on their website, but will also maintain a member's only section.
- American Psychological Association (APA) Provides free access to PsycINFO for members. Non-members can purchase access for a 24 hour period.
- American Society of Association Executives Searchable database of professional associations.
Legal Information
- Findlaw contains codes and case law for both the Federal government and the states (including California).

- Dun & Bradstreet Credit reports on privately-held companies are available for a fee
- Europages Directory of European companies
- Forbes Lists Contains Forbes lists such as the Forbes 500
- Fortune Company Lists Links to Fortune lists such as the Fortune 500
- Hoover's High quality information on companies and industries. Brief reports are free but more extensive reports are available for a fee.
- Kompass International Comprehensive, well organized database of international companies that is free.
- Process Industries Supplier Directory Online supplier directory for process industries includes news, links, forums and event calendar. Buyers can browse and search suppliers arranged categorically across 8500 products. Suppliers can list and monitor their impressions online. While the primary focus of the site is the buyer's guide, the industry section provides a comprehensive process industries portal.
- SEC Edgar Database Locate 10-K reports for publicly-traded companies free of charge
- Thomas Register Searchable database of manufacturing companies. Registration is required, but free.
- WorldPages.Com Searchable national yellow pages. Also provides links to international telephone books.
Market Research Reports
Many firms provides fee-based market research reports focusing on a particular industry. The reports discuss the demand for a good or service, forecasts and detailed statistical data to support their conclusions. These reports are in-depth and detailed, but fairly expensive ($2,000+).
