Giving to Pepperdine University Libraries
Types of Gifts
Annual unrestricted gifts directly benefit our students and faculty. These critical gifts bridge the gap between our tuition funded operating budget and the greatest needs of our numerous library locations.
Annual gifts to the Friends of the Library and Library Associates range in size between $10 and $25,000 each year. For more information, see our Friends of the Library and Library Associate.
You might consider a gift-in-kind, e.g., artwork, books, furnishings, or equipment, provided they comply with the policy of the University and meet our current library needs.
Estate and Gift Planning
Planned gifts may be arranged through a will, trusts, insurance, annuities, or the University's donor advised fund. Donors can avoid capital gains tax by the effective use of charitable gifts, while receiving a deduction for the fair market value of the contribution on the date the gift is made. Gifts of Property are accepted, provided they comply with the real estate policy of the University.
A donor might consider a gift-in-kind, e.g., artwork, books, furnishings, or equipment, provided they comply with the policy of the University.
Gifts of stocks and bonds can offer special charitable opportunities for donors. However, prospective donors should consult with professional advisors and university staff prior to making such gifts.
