Electronic Journal Alerts
The Pepperdine Libraries are providing increasing numbers of journals in electronic formats. Many providers of electronic journals provide alert services and send you an e-mail message when a new issue is available.
Communications Studies (Sage) - After performing a Quick Search in the left-hand search pane, select the record check box to the left of the search result, and click the Save/Search Alert button.
EBSCOHost - From the Advanced Search Screen, with the Search History/Alerts tab displayed, click Save Searches/Alerts. The Saved Search/Alerts Screen appears. (If you have not already logged into your personal account, you will be prompted to log in. Enter your user name and password; or click Cancel and return to the Advanced Search Screen.)
Emerald Library - On any page in the Emerald Library, click on "Emerald Alert" on the green bar on the upper right side of the page. Select the titles for which you want to receive alerts. Emerald Library is a selection in the libraries' databases lists.
Project Muse - On the Project Muse Journal Alerts page in Project Muse, enter your email address to receive weekly e-mail notifications of new journal issues or new titles available in Project Muse. Choose "Make or Change Selections" to start receiving or to change existing alerts.
Science Direct - On any page in Science Direct, click on the "Alerts" button near the top of the page. In addition to new issue alerts, Science Direct also lets you receive search and citation alerts. To receive an alert when articles matching your search criterion are added to the database, do your search and select "Save as an E-mail Alert" at the top of the search results. To receive an alert when articles citing an article are added to the database, find the article you want to track and select "Save as Citation Alert" near the top of the article. Science Direct is a selection in the libraries' databases lists.
