How Access to Library Databases

  • Use a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape and go to http://library.pepperdine.edu/.
  • Click the link for Select A Database, either select the database you need alphabetically or click the subject categories for Art , Music, History or Literature and select the database you need.
  • You will be asked for your Pepperdine network I.D. and password (the same information that you use to access your Pepperdine e-mail account).

  • Pepperdine asks for your network I.D. since databases such as Grove Art Online, Grove Music Online, JSTOR, Project Muse, Literature Resource Center, Biography Resource Center and Art Full Text are subscription databases that require universities to restrict access to current students, faculty and staff.
  • If you do not know your Pepperdine network I.D. and password go to: https://www.pepperdine.edu/it/help/network/pwlookups.htm.  Type in your student I.D. number (your Campus Wide ID Number or your Social Security Number) and 6-digit PIN. If you do not know your PIN contact the Registrar's office by e-mail: onestop@pepperdine.edu

If you are still having trouble connecting from off-campus, e-mail the IT Help Desk for assistance:help@pepperdine.edu.
