Searching for electronic books:

Pepperdine University Libraries have many electronic books that are available from the library catalog. You can read the entire contents of these books from your computer screen.

How to limit your search to electronic books:

• Access the library catalog
• Click University Libraries
• Type the phrase electronic books into the first search box
• Put additional terms into the other search boxes

Example #1

I am searching for electronic books about Michelangelo.

1. Type electronic books into the first box
2. Type Michelangelo into the second box
3. Click Go

Example #2

I am searching for electronic books about the Renaissance.

1. Type electronic books into the first search box
2. Type renaissance into the second box
3. Click Go

Example #3

You are searching for books about England in the Elizabethan period.

1. Type electronic books into the first box
2. Type elizabethan england into the second box
3. Click Go

4. Click the link for the record Description of Elizabethan England/ by Harrison, William.

5. Make note of subject heading Great Britain--History--Elizabeth, 1558-1603

6. Click New Search

7. Type electronic books into the first search box
8. Type or cut and paste the subject heading Great Britain--History--Elizabeth, 1558-1603 into the second box. Use the pull-down menu to select Subject keyword
9. Click Go
