Supporting Life-Long Learning for Alumni
Visiting and Borrowing
Pepperdine University alumni are welcome to visit Pepperdine's libraries. All alumni can register for borrowing privileges at any of the library circulation desks by presenting an alumni ID card. There is no separate library card. To obtain an ID, visit the Office of Alumni Affairs on the 3rd Floor of the Thornton Administrative Center (TAC), call their offices at 310-506-6190, or send them an email. Our Borrowing Privileges and Responsibilities page outlines which materials are available to alumni and for how long items can be loaned. Alumni borrowers must agree to comply with all library regulations. Study rooms and interlibrary loan privileges are not available to alumni.
Electronic Access
Alumni may access select research guides, search the online library catalog, and utilize our Alumni Ask a Librarian service through the Pepperdine Libraries website. After students graduate, their online access to most subscription databases is removed when their Pepperdine email address is deactivated. We are, however, pleased to offer a selection of paid subscription databases available exclusively to alumni, listed below. (Note: to access the alumni-specific subscription databases, call Alumni Affairs at 310-506-6190 to request the username and password). To search additional databases not accessible online, alumni can bring their ID to any of the libraries and meet with a librarian.*
