Payson Library Practicum Focuses on Restoration Movement Publications
Every so often, a student or someone from the community will reach out to one of our librarians to propose a project that complements their academic studies. Lucy Perrin, who many of our readers know due to her deep connections to Pepperdine, was one such person looking to partner with the Libraries to enhance her studies through experiential learning. She is attending the University of North Texas and is close to earning a master of science in library science. Working with the Boone Special Collections and University Archives team, Perrin initiated a project to gain a better understanding of the Libraries’ holdings of Restoration Movement publications.

Database of the Month: Artstor
This month we’re highlighting Artstor, a database of high-quality images and media from some of the world’s top photo archives, museums, libraries, scholars, and artists. All content in Artstor is rights-cleared for education and research — you are free to use it in classroom instruction and handouts, presentations, student assignments, and other noncommercial educational and scholarly activities.
Anderson Collection Offers Snapshot of Malibu Lakeside Community
The Special Collections team has made significant progress in making historical resources available digitally for researchers, faculty, and students. The most recent archival collection to be made accessible is the Annette and Doris Anderson Family Photographs. This wonderful collection of photographs provides insight into what life was like in the Malibu Lakeside community from the 1930s to the 1960s.

Pepperdine Libraries Acquires Personal Archive of Judge John J. Merrick
Pepperdine Libraries is pleased to announce the addition of the personal archive of Judge John J. Merrick. Judge Merrick’s son, Brian Merrick, donated the items to make them available for researchers interested in his father’s life and to preserve his legacy for generations to come.
